A Hot Summer Night

After a very hot Friday here in Ballarat (39Cdegrees!) it was still very hot out at Lake Burrumbeet well after sunset. If you can survive all the flying bugs its a great place on a warm night and I was surprised I had it all to myself...usually there's a few fishermen around.

Wish I was here now....!

Its 4.30 Friday afternoon and in Ballarat  its just hit over 38 degrees, (100 in the old language). Thought this was a good time to post this view from Rialto Beach on the west coast of the USA up in Washington state. From our trip in October 2009.

I was sitting on the banks taking this and that and out of nowhere a lone pelican just floated into the scene and cruised around, allowing me to take many shots with this one being my favourite.
