From there I popped over to another of my favourite trees at Bo Peep and was happy to see a couple of (I think) wedge tailed eagles adding nicely to the silhouette. The fourth image here is a crop of the third with one of the eagles coming in for a landing...can you see the other one just to the right?
The End of Winter
An early Saturday morning drive out west of Ballarat through Windermere and Bo Peep had me stopping a couple of times. First stop was just off the freeway at Windermere where this tractor was driving back and forth across the paddock...not really sure what he was doing. And then I noticed a couple of semi trailers coming along the freeway.
Persistance Pays Off
I've been following the new Lal Lal windfarm on a regular basis for quite a few months now and on Friday morning I got the conditions I've been chasing......and check out the video!

Mullock 'Mazing
I've been photographing mullock heaps for a long time now...the amazing colours you can find always offers something worth catching and in the Ballarat district we are really spoiled for opportunities. Here's a couple from out near Creswick on Wednesday morning...amazing how this tree can decide this is the best spot to grow!

Why Not?
I have photographed these two trees at Lake Burrumbeet more times than I can remember...and why not, when the conditions are this nice?!
Tuesday morning out west of Ballarat.....

Monday Morning Magic
A lovely foggy morning here in Ballarat on Monday. I captured a few images of the Town Hall and this statue and tree nearby. That tree you can see just behind the statue looks pretty amazing from above!
A Bit More Wind
On Sunday morning I headed in the opposite direction to the day before and ended up in the hills around Addington...and still had plenty of wind towers to play around with. Some great conditions, too.....

Where the Power Goes......
On Saturday morning I was out around the Lal Lal Wind Farm and though there were no clouds around, it's hard not to find something worthwhile here. And as I was heading home, a glance in the rear view mirror had me stopping for a couple of images of the new power lines that have been installed just as they were catching the early morning sunrise.

Remnants
These trees at Lake Burrumbeet often catch my eye in their starkness and this series from Friday morning make a nice set. The first one is from well before dawn when the landscape takes on a blue-ish hue and finishing with just a hint of colour on the horizon as the sun tried to rise.

Up and Down
With the Lake Wendouree exhibition opening today, what better way to get things moving than this set from the Lake on Thursday morning.

Getting Ready
On Wednesday afternoon I set up my Exhibition at the Lake Wendouree Museum in the Golden City Paddle Steamer buildings. I'm really happy with it and looking forward to the launch on Friday morning.

A Simple Stroll....
I've been doing a lot of walking along the Yarrowee Trail through the Brown Hill area lately and with all the rain the river has a number of nice, small cascades flowing. So on Tuesday I took the camera long and spent some time capturing the water......

Just a Bit......
There were a few flecks of snow around on Monday morning at Mt Warrenheip. The first two here show the snow swirling in the light of the cars headlamps. The next two show some of the snow settling on the trunks at the top of the mountain...and it was cold, too!

Contrasts
Two very contrasting images from Sunday.....
The first is right on sunrise looking across to the water tower that sits on the horizon out on the way to Invermay. The low lying clouds were creating a great silhouette, and then, right on cue, a group of birds arrived.
Along the Trail
I was expecting a lot more fog on Saturday morning and after looking around I spotted some just west of Ballarat along the Ballarat-Skipton Rail Trail. The still almost full moon added a nice extra element to the westerly view just before dawn with some lovely colour on the horizon.
